Back in September we made a post regarding the news that the Apple App Store had hit an amazing 2 billion downloads; now, just three months later, Apple have officially announced that over 3 billion apps have now been downloaded from the store.

“Three billion applications downloaded in less than 18 months—this is like nothing we’ve ever seen before,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “The revolutionary App Store offers iPhone and iPod touch users an experience unlike anything else available on other mobile devices, and we see no signs of the competition catching up anytime soon.”

The incredible popularity of the app store is good news for everyone; we’re happy to report that business is as busy as ever (about as much detail as we can go into under NDAs!) and we are especially excited to be at the forefront of a phenomenon that has completely changed the way many of us go about our daily lives. Surely 4 billion is just around the corner !
